Baby Roots is a separate, quiet space designed entirely for infants and young toddlers. The pace is slower, the voices are softer, and the routines are built around what babies actually need — being held, being talked to, being fed, and being noticed.
Small group sizes mean every child gets real one-on-one attention. Daily notes and photos keep you connected to your baby’s day even when you’re not there.

Village Roots is where children start doing what they were built to do — explore, make friends, ask a hundred questions a day, and figure out how the world works through play.
The rooms are set up in “learning centers”: art, blocks, books, dramatic play, sensory. Children choose what calls to them, teachers observe and join in, and the day unfolds around real interests rather than a rigid script.

Roots Child Care Center is our newest home, and our only full-range center. It welcomes children from infancy through school age — the same warmth and small groups you’ll find on the Gallia Street campus, but with the convenience of one drop-off for families with kids in multiple age groups.
Located in Portsmouth, our Mildale Road center offers everything from infant care to before-and-after-school programs — all under one roof, with the same teachers, philosophy, and Gold Star quality you’ll find across all three Roots centers.

Baby Roots and Village Roots share a campus on Gallia Street in New Boston, walking distance from one another. Roots Child Care Center is in Portsmouth on Mildale Road. All three share the same teachers, philosophy, and Gold Star quality.
